What is the Theta Trainer?

The Theta Trainer is an exercise for image generation and visualization. An important skill for designers and artists.

By removing your sense of sight you are left with your feel for direction and memory to complete a 4 layered maze.

Project Brief:

Create a toy for a specific target audience including at least one 3D printed part.

Target Audience: Creatives

Which fosters community and online contributions.

Initial Investigation

My initial research was centered around image

generation and visual perception skills. This involved reading articles and watching videos about how the brain learns.

A big takeaway from my research was learning that after adulthood, the best way to learn a new skill is to repeat it over and over again.

After gathering momentum I was tasked with engineering a multi-layered track system for the steel ball to follow.

Each layer had to begin and end in the same position.

Open-sourced maze designs

An online community of users could create a range of difficulties making it user-friendly for any age.
